On Friday 29th November it is Carers’ Rights Day in the UK. This national awareness day is organised each year by CarersUK. The aims of the day are to ensure not only that carers are aware of their rights and entitlements but also that the needs of carers are understood more widely. Carers are provided with information and encouraged to claim the benefits to which they are entitled, and to pursue other forms of support, especially practical support. Local events will take place across the UK and information about carers’ rights can also be obtained online. Carers’ rights day can be followed on twitter by searching for #carersrightsday.
